What to Expect

Class Overview

If you’ve ever wanted to turn an idea into a physical object, Intro to 3D Printing is the class for you.

This entry level 3D printing class is designed primarily for absolute beginners. At Bucks3D, we introduce you to professional-grade Bambu Lab equipment and workflows used in modern engineering and design.

This is hands-on experience - you'll learn how the machine moves, how to choose the right materials, and the satisfaction of watching your first project come to life, layer-by-layer.

Our goal is to build your confidence so that by the end of the session, you understand the magic of 3D creation and are ready to move onto more advanced projects.

What You'll Learn:

  • FDM Fundamentals: How a 3D printer actually works from the ground up.

  • The Bambu Workflow: Understanding the industry-leading Bambu Lab ecosystem.

  • Safety & Operation: How to safely load filament and operate professional printers.

  • Basic Slicing: A first look at preparing digital files for a successful print.

  • Material Selection: How to choose the right colors and settings for your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to take the classes in order?

For the 3D printing series, yes. To ensure everyone has the same foundational safety and operation knowledge, we require students to complete Level 1 before moving to Level 2, and so on.

What if I already own a 3D printer? Do I still need Level 1?

Many of our students own printers! However, we teach specific workflows for our professional Bambu Lab equipment. Level 1 ensures you are comfortable with our studio's specific gear and software before moving to more complex troubleshooting in Level 2.

Can I buy 3D printing filament locally in Warminster, PA?

Yes! We carry high-quality PLA, PETG, and TPU filament at our studio for local purchase and pickup during regular business hours.

Do I need to bring a laptop for the CAD Design class?

We provide all necessary workstations and software at our Warminster studio. You just need to bring your ideas!

Are the classes safe for younger children?

Yes! Our Level 1 classes for kids (ages 7+) focus heavily on the safe operation of the printers. We use modern, enclosed machines and provide constant instructor supervision.

How do I know which age group to book for?

In our booking system, you will see time slots clearly labeled by age group. Generally, weekend mornings are for kids, while weekday evenings and weekend afternoons are for adults and teens.
